My Journey
I have written storries since I learned to read, and around that time I probably started playing piano. At some point I discovered Garageband on my fathers Iphone, and I started making songs that I can look back on and say, wow, I have become a lot better since then, and my 10-year old self, would definitely be amazed, if I showed him my current work.
Music creation had always been a hobby for me until I had the opportunity to learn Ableton from Jesper Svane. From that moment and onwards, I was hooked—there was no turning back.
Games have always been with me, but one that stands out and holds a special place in my hearth is Machinarium. It is a wonderfully weird world with fantastic music and sound design. A cute little robot against the world. The music especially has inspired me in to think about how to experiment with how sound interact with the world. At some point I developed a desire to create my own games, while I dreamed of their execution, and these thoughts never went away.
After College I was a bit lost about what to do, so I spend about half a year at “Højskolen Mors” which is a folk High School. I chose film and had a lot of fun making blip bloops with my synthesiser that supported what was happening on the screen.
After that, I was planning on going to Sonic College, as I could learn everything I need to start my journey of creating my own games; especially beginner code, and sound design.
The thing I learned at Sonic College that has impacted me most is a perspective of sound design is both musical and storytelling, which has really broadened my horizon.
